Waseda University's team of graduate students emerged as the winners, presenting their visionary plan to transform Singapore's Jurong Lake District into a sustainable and vibrant mixed-use community. Out of the 19 competing teams representing 15 universities from various countries, the winning entry stood out for its emphasis on sustainability, accessibility, and connectivity within the district.

Apart from the victorious Waseda University team, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hines Student Competition Asia Pacific acknowledged the remarkable achievements of the team from HCMC University of Economics in Vietnam.
