BioLAK – Sustainability Through The Aspiration To Preserve Indigenous Flora

BioLAK is a gentle, eco-conscious cosmetic brand that places environmental conservation at its core. Since 2016, the founding team of BioLAK has been traveling across Vietnam to identify and select native plant species, bringing them back for cultivation, propagation, and genetic preservation.

The endeavor to trace, recover, and safeguard ancestral plant species at risk of extinction has proven to be an arduous journey. BioLAK’s decision to adopt the forest garden model—a sustainable agroforestry system, has been both challenging and uncertain in terms of economic return. Nevertheless, through years of dedicated effort, the brand has achieved notable progress.

Building on the successful conservation of various plant resources, BioLAK now pursues a broader mission: to reintroduce these native species into everyday life, reconnecting them with the Vietnamese people and harnessing their full potential.

Guided by the principle of gentleness and safety, BioLAK has collaborated with experts in the fields of health and beauty to research and develop a range of skincare and body care products. With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to integrity, BioLAK has been awarded the Non-GMO certification - an assurance that its products are free from genetically modified organisms and are produced through sustainable practices.

Charge+ – Sustainability Through Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Charge+ currently operates over 2,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across Southeast Asia, making it the largest EV charging service provider in Singapore and a key player in the regional market. Aligned with the global shift toward new energy technologies, Charge+ has set an ambitious target of deploying 30,000 charging points by 2030.

Goh Chee Kiong, Chief Executive Officer of Charge+, affirmed the company’s continued commitment to addressing the growing demand for electric vehicles across Southeast Asia. Leading this initiative is a landmark project: a 5,000-kilometer EV charging highway spanning six countries, beginning in Singapore and culminating in Hanoi, Vietnam.

In Vietnam, Charge+ has partnered with Porsche to establish 17 high-power DC charging stations along a 1,700-kilometer corridor, offering a seamless and convenient charging experience for EV owners. This collaboration aims to support long-distance EV travel with confidence, reinforcing electric mobility as a viable choice for extended routes.

With cutting-edge technology and an expansive network, Charge+ is at the forefront of delivering sustainable transportation solutions. By enabling green mobility across major roadways, the company is actively contributing to the development of more sustainable and livable urban environments in the future.

Solano – Sustainability Through Clean Energy Solutions

Solano is an advanced solar energy system designed to help households reduce electricity costs by up to 80%, offering a ROI of 22% annually, with a payback period of only 5–6 years.

Developed by Dr. Trần Tuấn Anh - Co-founder and CEO - alongside a team of engineers from Oxford and Cambridge, Solano focuses on decentralized solar energy storage systems tailored for urban residential settings. By capturing and storing the entirety of rooftop-generated electricity, Solano maximizes on-site energy utilization and reduces reliance on the national power grid.

Solano employs Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries, which is known for their durability of 15–20 years and decreasing cost over time, offering long-term efficiency. When integrated with renewable energy sources such as solar or wind, the system significantly reduces carbon emissions and contributes to environmental sustainability.

Few may realize that the Earth receives, in just one hour, enough energy from the Sun to meet humanity’s annual demand. Therefore, systems like Solano help enhance electricity supply and alleviate investment pressures on the national energy infrastructure beyond cost savings.

Ecolean: Sustainability Through Changing Packaging Consumption Habits

Ecolean enables consumers to access sustainable packaging options, thereby reducing non-biodegradable waste and alleviating pressure on the environment.

Founded in Sweden in the mid-1990s, Ecolean established a foundation for sustainable manufacturing and business practices well before sustainability became a global concern. As the world increasingly focuses on sustainable development, Ecolean has strengthened its position as a brand with extensive experience, offering products that meet consumer demands while also being environmentally friendly.

The sustainability of Ecolean’s packaging is evident in its lightweight design, recyclable materials, improved energy efficiency in production, and enhanced product usability through multifunctionality, all of which contribute to minimizing environmental waste.

DAT Bike: Sustainability Through Green Mobility

DAT Bike aims to transition all gasoline-powered motorcycles in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to electric vehicles. This ambition is grounded in the practical realities of electric vehicles: a mode of transportation that is quiet, environmentally friendly, yet still underrepresented in urban areas in Vietnam.

According to the founder, DAT Bike was established to address a significant issue faced by major cities in Vietnam: the desire for a greener lifestyle without finding a suitable alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles. With 100% of the ideas and resources sourced from the Vietnamese people, DAT Bike has a deep understanding of local transportation habits, the challenges electric vehicles face in the domestic market, and their potential for the future.

As a result, DAT Bike's models are capable of outpacing gasoline-powered motorcycles. They are equipped with 72V batteries—the most advanced on the market—which require only 3 hours to fully charge, offer a range of 100 km per charge, and have a lifespan of up to 10 years.

According to the Ministry of Transport, DAT Bike is the only electric vehicle brand with its origins entirely in Vietnam. With the ingenuity and dedication of the Vietnamese people, the brand has gradually gained the trust of domestic consumers. The sustainability of DAT Bike stems from its goal to change consumer habits, improve urban environments, and bring a green breath to the streets of Vietnam.
