From 27–31 May 2025, Asia Pacific’s most influential F&B trade show, THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA, will make its highly anticipated return to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.

This year’s edition will spotlight a renewed emphasis on purpose-driven innovation, functional food and beverages, and expanding market access, as the industry rapidly evolves to meet shifting consumer expectations across Asia Pacific and beyond.

With 3,233 exhibitors across 6,205 booths from over 57 countries, THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 is on track to surpass its previous success, welcoming 90,000+ trade visitors and 2,000+ hosted buyers. A projected 98 billion baht in trade value is expected through both immediate and near-future business deals.

Accelerating Asia Pacific’s F&B growth momentum

According to Cognitive Market Research, the Asia Pacific F&B market size is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8% from 2024 to 2031, on the back of how the diverse cultures and traditions in APAC have constantly evolved the F&B business landscape. As Asia Pacific’s food and beverage market continues to expand, THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA stands at the centre of this regional growth, serving as a key platform for innovation, sourcing, and deal-making.

While hosted in Thailand — a vital gateway to the region — the event connects the entire Asia Pacific market, benefiting from Thailand’s export strength and central role in regional trade flows. According to the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand’s food exports are expected to grow by 2% in 2024, reaching USD 40.7 billion, reflecting broader market shifts across Asia Pacific.

Mr. Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Vice President of Koelnmesse Asia Pacific, reaffirmed the show’s strategic role as Asia-Pacific’s central meeting point for the global food and beverage industry. “What sets THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA apart is its ability to reflect the region’s fast-evolving consumer landscape and accelerate product innovation at scale,” he said.

With 80% of participants in the Hosted Buyer Programme attending for the first time, including decision-makers from AEON (Japan), Angliss (Hong Kong), and Choithrams (UAE), the 2025 edition underscores its strategic role as a gateway to the Asia Pacific F&B market — one of the fastest-growing regions globally.

Explore Global Opportunities and Industry Insights

THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 strong focus will be on connecting entrepreneurs with major food and beverage megatrends such as plant-based products, sustainable goods, functional foods, and organic agricultural products. All of which align with the rapidly growing demand in markets such as Europe and China. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase innovative products that respond to evolving consumer needs and expand their reach onto the international stage.

Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP stated, “THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA plays a vital role in advancing the department’s mission by providing entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their potential, explore business opportunities, and gain insights into global industry trends. The event will feature product showcases, cutting-edge technologies, and new innovations, alongside knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and international competitions.”

Exhibitors will showcase a vast array of categories — from fine foods and frozen goods to drinks, confectionery, food tech, seafood, and agricultural staples such as rice, meat, fruits, and vegetables. Notably, this edition marks a growing footprint from emerging markets, with first-time participation from Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. New pavilions from Australia, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands further enrich sourcing opportunities for regional buyers.

“Building on last year’s success, one notable example involved an SME exhibitor who, despite showcasing in a small booth, won the THAIFEX – ANUGA tasteInnovation Award at THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2024. The award was then used to strengthen their brand and successfully secure a trade deal with a buyer from India. This highlights that THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA is not only a platform for business negotiations, but also a space that inspires and creates new opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs to access the global market,” said Dr. Kitsana.
