In response to the evolving Southeast Asian startup investment landscape, Vietcetera is strengthening its corporate governance to reinforce long-term sustainability.
As part of this transition, Vietcetera announces a new strategic investment round led by REAZON Holdings, alongside Marco Breu and a group of Vietnamese angel investors.
REAZON Holdings is a Tokyo-based forward-thinking investment firm focused on backing resilient and sustainable businesses in Southeast Asia. With a track record of investing in companies that prioritize long-term value creation, REAZON plays an active role in guiding portfolio companies towards profitability and operational excellence.
This investment marks a shift for Vietcetera, as it embraces a profitable, non-venture-backed business model. It will raise money in the future with strategic cooperations as its highest priority, with ongoing discussions already in place.
“We see tremendous potential in Vietcetera as it evolves into a profitable and future-proof business,” said Satoshi Kuriga, Head of Global Investments at REAZON Holdings. “This investment aligns with our philosophy of supporting companies that are not only financially sustainable but also contribute meaningfully to their industries and communities.”
In this new chapter of the company, Vietcetera welcomes Marco Breu as a strategic investor and as the newly appointed non-executive Chairman of Vietcetera. With his extensive experience in strategy and governance, Marco will play a crucial role in steering the company towards sustainable profitability while maintaining its core mission of delivering high-quality, differentiated content and IP. His leadership will help refine Vietcetera’s operational focus and corporate strategy as it continues to scale.
Hao Tran, CEO of Vietcetera, adds, “Our mission of bringing Vietnam to the world, and the world to Vietnam, is at our core and strategic partners who embody this mission are top of mind for us to work with. This mission has been at the front of Vietcetera from day one.
This investment not only provides financial stability but also aligns us with strategic partners who share our vision for sustainable growth”
2025: A Year of Expansion Beyond Content
Looking ahead, 2025 will be a transformative year for Vietcetera as the company embarks on launching new spin-off businesses and developing its intellectual property beyond just content. This expansion aligns with its strategy to build a more diversified and sustainable business model, leveraging its strong media presence to create new revenue streams and long-term growth opportunities.
Its first foray into launching new brands is its Vietnam Innovators Digest franchise, which is named after its podcast with the same name, Vietnam Innovators. The podcast has featured more than 400 business executives and leaders in the past five years. The new platform will focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and business in Vietnam for a global audience.
