This session delves into the role of ESG principles in the startup ecosystem. Through real-world examples of both ESG failures and successes, we’ll examine how early commitment to sustainability can drive innovation, build trust, and attract not only investors but also customers and talent. In the session, Temasek Trust’s Center for Impact Investing and Practices will share results from research surveying over 3,500 SMEs in Southeast Asia and highlight where ecosystem partners and investors can support ESG integration. Founders will leave with actionable insights on how to integrate ESG into their core strategy, even at the earliest stages, and why doing so is both a smart business move and a moral imperative.
